Urgent help: please help my little girl, Elvira! 🙏💔
I am completely at a loss and feel like a terrible kitty mom. I’ve had Elvira since she was 8 weeks old. My baby is suffering and I can’t even afford the diagnostics testing needed, I went on vacation for 2 days and when I came back, it was to piles of vomit and what I thought was pee, but now I think it might have been just bile. One of the piles had red ribbon in it. She has been extremely lethargic and just staying in one spot, staring off into the distance falling asleep sitting up. She also isnt eating, which is a big indicator for her, as she is usually a little piggy and even finishes her sisters food most days.
I took her to the pet ER last wednesday and right away it was $250. They gave her fluids, an antinausea shot, and gave me some “bland food” samples and some meds for me to take home to help calm her stomach. In total it was $336 out of pocket that was meant to go towards my mortgage, and now have only $50 to my name for over a week. I unfortunately do not qualify for care credit.
Here is where I need help:
They told me if she keeps vomiting, to bring her back within 24-48 hrs. Luckily if I have to go back within a week or two for the same issue, there is no $250 fee and you only pay for the testing/treatment……Well she vomited white foam again twice since we got home and then stayed in the same spot for 30 min, falling asleep sitting up. She finally just moved to her little bed next to her and is resting but hasnt moved from that spot for hours and not very responsive 😞
**I attached pics of her healthy and then the last pic and video of her today being barely responsive, falling asleep sitting up. I also included the quotes for the xray and blood work. I was quoted $576 is needed. Right now, I just need help to pay for the bloodwork and xrays praying surgery isnt needed. If that happens, I don’t know what I will do😭 trying so hard to stay positive but my heart is breaking for not only me and my boyfriend, but shes bonded with her sister💔

A spotless giraffe was recently born at Bright’s Zoo in Limestone, TN and was just announced in the media this morning. They’re starting a public naming contest for her, of course.

I’d love to know what type of mutation causes this lack of of pattern, but I don’t know if we have genetics on that for giraffes the way we do other species. As far as is known, she’s the first spotless giraffe ever documented!
Idc what they end up naming her. To me she is now Pancake
